The future remains unclear for the nightclub formerly known as Lure.
As we reported last week, a group of residents is trying to collect enough signatures to get the club, which is currently operating as Amnesia, shuttered. Judge Margaret Walsh wanted to bring in a witness to clarify some signatures on the petitions.
The result? Still no clarity.
From the St. Louis Post-Dispatch:
Property owners near the club, at 1204 Washington Avenue, submitted more than 50 owner signatures asking the city to revoke the club's liquor license. Municipal Judge Margaret Walsh, sitting in for excise Commissioner Robert Kraiberg, did not immediately rule. She told attorneys from both sides to send her their final positions on the issues by the last week in December. She expected to rule on the signatures by Jan. 4.
Walsh already ruled in September that the city had presented substantial evidence of littering, loitering, and violence associated with the club, and revoked its license. The owners appealed. They could also appeal her eventual ruling on the signatures.
