The Admiral riverboat was the site of a two-alarm fire today which was quickly brought under control by firefighters.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the blaze may have been started in some grease-coated ductwork by a worker's torch when he was cutting through the duct material.
Lately, the status of the Admiral has been in flux. The President Casino, formerly housed in the boat, was closed last June, leaving the boat has been vacant ever since.
More recently, the boat was put up for auction on eBay.
At its initial posting, the boat was up for a "Buy-It-Now" price of $1.5 million.
