Updated 1:32 p.m. April 26:

The City of Fenton has announced that The River Road in Fenton, Mo. at the intersection of Yarnell Road and Larkin-Williams Road is now closed.

In Missouri:

  • The state Department of Transportation said Tuesday that there are 434 flood-related closures - mostly on minor routes south of Interstate 44.
  • An up-to-date list of road closures can be found on the department's website at its traveler information map.
  • Travelers also can call MoDOT at 888-275-6636 to ask about conditions on specific roads.

In Illinois:

Via a press release from the Illinois Department of Transportation:

  • The Illinois Department of Transportation announces the closure of IL 100 in the vicinity of Grafton.  Motorists will need to utilize the current detour: IL 3, IL 109 and IL 16 to circumvent the closure.  Local access to the towns of Grafton, Elsah, Chautauqua, and Beltrees is available via IL 3.

  • In addtion, IL 3 south of Chester (near Rockwood) is closed to traffic due to flood waters.  Travelers in this area should use the marked detour: IL 150, IL 4, and IL 151.  The other State facilities closed due to flooding are the Brussels Ferry plus Kaskaskia and Water Streets in Chester. The current flood projection indicates these closures could remain in place through the weekend.

  • The Department will continue monitoring State roadways in the Counties of Calhoun, Greene, Jersey, Madison, Marion, Randolph and Washington this week.  Flooding has required closure of State Highways and Ferries along the Illinois and Mississippi Rivers.

  • Since this is a very dynamic situation, please see the Department’s website, for the latest information on roadway closures.
