U.S. Rep. Todd Akin has amended his voter registration to the St. Louis suburb of Wildwood.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported last month that the five-term Republican has been voting from the address of his old family homestead in another suburb, Town and Country, despite moving to Wildwood more than three years ago.
The newspaper reported Monday that county voting records showed Akin amended his registration at the end of May, the same day of the original Post-Dispatch story.
The Post-Dispatch says Akin voted 10 times in Town and Country after purchasing the home in Wildwood. The law requires voters to take a ballot in the jurisdiction where they reside.
An Akin spokesman has said there was a long transition from one home to the next.
