Aaron Reid, 26, pleaded guilty Tuesday to concealing information related to the 2008 bombing of a Clayton, Mo. parking garage.
According to a U.S. Department of Justice release, Reid concealed that he was with Milton Ohlsen - who was indicted July 7 on charges related to the bombing - "when they had parked in the vicinity of the Plaza parking garage and parted company to perform some personal errands."
Reid pled guilty to a one count of misprision of a felony and could face up to three years in prison and/or $250,000 in fines following sentencing scheduled for Oct. 26.
According to the release, "United States Attorney Richard Callahan emphasized that there was no evidence nor did officials believe that Reid had any knowledge of Ohlsen’s intentions in advance of the bombing. The crux of the crime, Callahan said, 'was Reid’s subsequent concealment of crucial information when it became apparent that Ohlsen might be involved in the bombing.'"
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported that Reid worked as a police officer in Wellston, Velda City, Vinita Park and Beverly Hills, all in St. Louis County.
