Coleman home, site of family murders, up for sale

The southwestern Illinois home where a former Marine killed his wife and two sons is for sale.

The two-story, three-bedroom home is in Columbia, about 15 miles southeast of St. Louis. It was home to Christopher Coleman, who is serving a life sentence for strangling his wife Sheri Coleman and their 11- and 9-year-old sons in 2009.

Star Realtors of Granite City has listed the home with an asking price of $181,000. It is listed with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development as a foreclosure.

Coleman was convicted in May. Prosecutors say he killed his family in the lakeside home because he feared his affair with his wife's longtime friend would cost him his job. Coleman worked as security chief for Missouri-based Joyce Meyer Ministries.
