Officials at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale and the SIUC Faculty Association have signed off on a tentative contract agreement.
Faculty Association spokesman Dave Johnson confirms the two sides signed the tentative deal Monday after the union ended its week-long strike on Nov. 9.
Johnson tells WSIU Radio that the next step is for the union's Departmental Representative Council to discuss the tentative agreement on Thursday.
That will be followed by a general meeting to give union members the chance to ask questions on Nov. 28. A vote by all dues-paying members is scheduled for Nov. 30.
