Classes have been called off at a southwestern Illinois college after a bomb threat forced the evacuation of the campus.
The Belleville News-Democrat reports that officials ordered Southwestern Illinois College in Belleville cleared out Thursday morning after a student found a threatening hand-written note in a men's bathroom of the main building.
College spokesman Mike Fleming says classes will resume Friday.
There's no report of any explosives being found.
A message on the college's website says that "an emergency has occurred" on the campus; it tells students to evacuate and stay away until further notice.
The campus also was evacuated in January after another bomb threat surfaced.
Fleming says state and St. Clair County authorities are investigating.
