For almost 20 years the membership department of St. Louis Public Radio has counted on Development Coordinator Rod Hutchinson. Often the first person to arrive in the morning, we have all come to depend on his warm smile and contagious enthusiasm to start the day. His common refrain, “let’s get this thing moving,” motivates everyone in ear shot.
Over the years he has talked to thousands of STLPR members. He has shipped thousands of thank-you gifts, thank-you letters, program guides, and bumper stickers. In fact, if you have been a member at any time during the last 20 years, he has almost certainly had a hand in ensuring that your contribution was properly managed and that your coffee mug or t-shirt was delivered - often boxing and shipping them himself.
This week we will say goodbye to Rod as he begins his retirement. We will miss his laugh, his hard work, and his dedication to the St. Louis Public Radio community.
