We’re looking forward to the warm weather May brings as much as you are, but we’re also looking forward to several events hosted by St. Louis Public Radio this month. We hope you’ll join us for some or all of them!
May 2, 7:30PM - First Mondays with the Arianna String Quartet: The Arianna Quartet closes out the season with a performance and discussion focusing on the profound genius of Beethoven’s Quartet in C-sharp minor, Op.131. Click here to reserve one of the last seats until the fall.
May 5, 7:00PM - Storytelling Festival: Later Tales for Adults: STLPR and Second Tuesdays are partnering to participate in the St. Louis Storytelling Festival for Later Tales for Adults, a storytelling event featuring traditional storytelling and open mic stories. Participants will share their stories around the theme “Home Sweet Home." Don't miss this show!
May 19, 6:00PM - Who's on First, What's on Draft?: Enjoy dogs and brats from Classic Red Hots Catering and sample beer from four area microbeweries...all while watching the game on the giant screen in the Public Media Commons and cheering on the home team. What’s not to love? $15 gets you eight samples for this 21 year old and up event.
May 26, 6:30PM - STORYCORPS: A Salute to Veterans: Come salute the brave men and women who have sacrificed for our country. Audio and animation presentations, produced by StoryCorps, will be projected on a two-story screen. The Roots in Blue Protocol Combo band will also perform, and the artwork of veterans will be on display and featured. The event is presented by Wells Fargo Advisors and is free.
