‘A Trip to the Moon’ is a French black-and-white silent film produced in 1902. The plot is about a group of astronomers who take an expedition to the moon.
The classic film is the inspiration for Circus Flora’s latest production, ‘A Trip to the Moon.’ The show runs from May 31 – June 23 at the Big Top behind Powell Hall. It features a number of world-class performers and musicians including star equestrian Lisa Dufresne, Carlos Svenson and his Magical Flying Goats as well as the Flying Wallendas.
Host Steve Potter spoke with Ivor David Balding, founder and artistic director of Circus Flora, Aurelia Wallenda, a trapeze artist with the Flying Wallendas, and equestrian Lisa Dufresne.
