The St. Louis Symphony continues its 2011-2012 season this weekend, and you can be right there with them from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, March 3.
On select Saturday evenings, St. Louis Public Radio broadcasts the Symphony's performance over the air, bringing you a live classical music experience wherever you are.
However, if you're able to join the performance in person this Saturday, it's St. Louis Public Radio Night!
And whether you'll be there in person or joining us for the live broadcast, this is what's in store for you this Saturday:
DEBUSSY’S Printemps;
SAARIAHO’S Quatre Instants with special guest soprano Karita Mattila; and
STRAVINSKY’S The Firebird.
You can follow along with the broadcast yourself with this version of the program symphony-goers have in the seats at Powell Hall (Adobe PDF document).
You can also follow along with this French and English translation of Quatre Instants (Adobe PDF document).
During the intermission we’ll talk with St. Louis Symphony Associate Principal Horn Thomas Jöstlein, Maestro David Robertson, and Soprano Karita Mattila.
