It was exciting to watch the 7 Nights in July project unfold. My part in it came when the cast of a high school production of "Dreamgirls" went to see the Muny's production and meet Jennifer Holliday. I was writing vignettes to go along with some really great photos and captured this moment on Twitter: "Hey mom, I just met Jennifer Holliday ... I know right?" Scenes from Saturday night's trip to the Muny with McClure:— Kristen Hare (@kristenhare) It wasn't breaking news. It wasn't political. It was a special moment in one person's life and she let the Beacon be a part of it.
- We did the holidays of years gone by photo project for the past two years, and it's been cool to see these old images and, sometimes, connect them with the present.
- I think the Art of Fatherhood series was powerful, and this was my favorite story from it: From day 133, three men step in to fill the role of one.
- And finally, I had a lot of fun with Parking Lot Thursdays.
