Art Saint Louis Plans Gallery/Café Hybrid In Downtown St. Louis

Art Saint Louis is a nonprofit organization which seeks to highlight contemporary visual art in the area.

The group is in the final stages of creating a gallery/café hybrid in the historic Park Pacific building in downtown St. Louis.  The goal is to create a place “our community will repeatedly visit to enjoy dynamic exhibitions of local art and an inviting atmosphere in which to meet, study and relax.”

Further, the organization, which already exhibits art year-round in their 5,000 square-foot gallery, wants the new gallery/café hybrid to become “a playground for the ideas an conversations that shape our community.”

Host Steve Potter talked with Chandler Branch, Executive Director of Art Saint Louis, Robin Hirsch, Artistic Director of Art Saint Louis, and Chris Ruess, founder and owner of Mississippi Mud Coffee Roasters.

The group is seeking to partially fund the effort through a Kickstarter campaign.
