St. Louis Public Radio | 90.7 KWMU is pleased to announce the addition of jazz to its broadcast schedule. Beginning today, St. Louis Public Radio | Jazz 90.7 KWMU-2 will air jazz music 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.  Listeners can access the programming on their digital radios at 90.7 KWMU-2, online at www.stlpublicradio.org/jazz, and on all of their mobile devices, using the St. Louis Public Radio mobile app.  [Pro tip: If you've had the app open recently, you will need to close it and restart it to load the new stream.]

As a result of this change, The Gateway 90.7 KWMU-2 has moved to Quincy Public Radio | 90.3 WQUB-2 and has been rebranded as The Bridge. It will still be available for streaming at www.stlpublicradio.org.

Jazz 90.7 KWMU-2 will feature recordings from many legends of the genre, as well as new music from emerging artists worldwide.  Some of the jazz artists you will hear on Jazz 90.7 KWMU-2 include: Mose Allison; Ernistine Anderson; Louis Armstrong; Dave Brubeck; Ann Hampton Callaway; Regina Carter; Buddy DeFranco; Lou Donaldson; Dave Ellis; Ella Fitzgerald; Dizzy Gillespie; Stan Getz; Herbie Hancock; Freddie Hubbard; Chuck Mangione; Dave McKenna; Brad Mehldau; David “Fathead” Newman; Charlie Parker; Oscar Peterson; Buddy Rich; Max Roach; Jimmy Rushing; David Sanchez; Diane Shuur; Nina Simone; Clark Terry; McCoy Tyner; and Lester Young.

“We are excited to bring a 24-hour jazz station to St. Louis Public Radio | 90.7 KWMU,” said Tim Eby, General Manager. “For some time we have wanted to add this genre to our broadcast line-up, and HD radio and internet streaming allow us to do just that.  We value greatly the role that the arts play in our community, and we feel that this addition will allow us to better serve our listening audience.”
