The Greater Missouri Women of the Year Award Luncheon is presented annually by the Greater Missouri Leadership Foundation uniting alumnae and allies who support the organization through funds raised. The mission of the Foundation is to educate & inspire women leaders to make a difference. The annual awards recognize prominent women leaders in Missouri who exemplify the definition of the Greater Missouri Woman.
Honorees include: Sandra M. Moore - Advantage Capital (Community Leader of the Year); Dr. LaTonia Collins Smith - Harris-Stowe State University (Inspirational Leader of the Year); The Honorable Jean Carnahan - Author, Former U.S. Senator & First Lady of Missouri (Civic Leader of the Year); Sara Foster - Retired, Commerce Bank (Alumna Leader of the Year). The Greater Missouri Leadership Foundation is a non-partisan, not-for-profit organization that supports the Greater Missouri Leadership Challenge (GMLC). GMLC has been providing a unique introduction for exceptional women leaders since 1990. The Challenge is a statewide year-long traveling leadership symposium that provides a four-session, three-day/two-night program yearly for selected women leaders. www.greatermo.org.
