Volunteer: Invasive Species Removal and Trash Cleanup along Deer Creek

Volunteer: Invasive Species Removal and Trash Cleanup along Deer Creek

Join us for an invasive removal and trash cleanup at Brentwood Wetland on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 9am – 12pm.

Volunteer Check-in starts at 8:45 a.m. Parking is available at 3000 S Brentwood Blvd. We will be working along the riparian corridor of Deer Creek removing invasive plants and picking up trash along Deer Creek as part of the regional River des Peres Trash Bash.

Tools, gloves, and trash bags will be provided. Fall is a perfect time to remove invasive plants to decrease competition and allow the native species to fill in and dominate the landscape. This is a family friendly event that is open to all ages.

Please dress for the weather. Volunteers are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes that they do not mind getting dirty.

Things to bring:

waiver form (Print out or email in advance)
safety glasses
water bottle
sunscreen
bug spray
hat
sturdy walking shoes
dress in layers
