The 16th Annual World Naked Bike Ride in St. Louis will take place in the Grove on Saturday, July 27, 2024!

The World Naked Bike Ride is an international event celebrating positive body image while raising awareness of cyclist’s rights and vulnerability while on the road. The clothing-optional bike ride is known for its dress code of "as bare as you dare”; riders participate in a spectrum of dress and undress.

The ride draws participants from all around the region, including Nashville, Chicago, Springfield, Kansas City. St. Louis remains one of the largest World Naked Bike Rides of the participating cities across the globe drawing roughly 2500 riders in 2023.

“WNBR is a one of a kind magical unicorn of an event. A protest, a festival, a parade, a seminude gathering, and a bike ride all in one. Most importantly, WNBR is a celebration of bodies and cycling. We realize that the event will be criticized by some as lewd or controversial. But everyone who has ever been knows that this event is only about bikes & body positivity, about acceptance and respect for yourself and each other. Besides, to be honest, most people, myself included aren’t even fully naked. Of course we are not advocating going out nude in public on a daily basis, but once a year, we want to make a point to promote body acceptance, and positive body image among other things. So please, bare with us!” said ride organizer and HandleBar owner/founder Tatyana Telnikova.

The festivities will begin at 4pm with DJs, live music, street vendors, body painting, and contests awarding multiple categories for the best themed “costumes”. The ride leaves The Grove at 6pm and returns around 8pm. (The 10 mile route will soon be posted to www.wnbrstl.org.) During the ride, there will be entertainment for the non-riding spectators. Around 8pm when the ride returns, free spirits will fill the streets with dancing and positive vibes as the crowd enjoys musical entertainment by local DJs, Drag and Burlesque performers, fire spinners and other beautiful talent of all shapes, sizes and colors.
