RCGA names Louisville's Reagan as new president and CEO

The newest head of St. Louis' Regional Chamber and Growth Association comes to the St. Louis region by way of Louisville, Ky.

Joe Reagan, president of Greater Louisville, Inc. will be the RCGA's new president and CEO effective Feb. 1, 2012.

Reagan replaces outgoing chief Dick Fleming, who announced his departure in January.

According to a release from the RCGA, Reagan joined GLI in 1998 as vice president of economic development and progressed through several roles until reaching the position of president and CEO in 2005.

“Joe brings to the RCGA a strong professional background in successful chamber management, regional economic development, public policy development and implementation," RCGA chairman, and chairman of Ameren, Corp., Tom Voss said. "His career accomplishments and integrity have earned him the respect of both business and governmental leaders in the greater Louisville region and throughout the nation overall.”

Before his work in Louisville, Reagan served with the Rockford Area Chamber of Commerce and Council of 100 in Rockford, Ill. as its vice president, from 1996 to 1998, and in other roles with the Council there before becoming vice president.

Reagan also owned a marketing firm in Rockford and held positions at several radio stations in Illinois and Iowa. He holds a bachelor's degree in Communications from the University of Iowa.
