Three women, 10 men vying for seat on Mo. Supreme Court

Thirteen people have applied to fill a vacancy on the Missouri Supreme Court.

Thirteen people have submitted applications to fill a soon-to-be-open seat on the Missouri Supreme Court.

The three women and 10 men are vying for the seat of Judge Michael Wolff, who will retire August 11th. They are:

The state's Appellate Judicial Commission will interview the 13 on Wednesday, Aug. 31 and Thursday, Sept. 1 in a courtroom at the state Supreme Court Building in Jefferson City. Those interviews are open to the public.

The commission will then recommend a panel of three applicants to Gov. Jay Nixon, who selects the new Supreme Court judge from those three. If Nixon does not pick within 60 days, the commission itself makes the selection.
