St. Louis voters go to the polls today to decide whether incumbent Mayor Francis Slay deserves a fourth term.
Today's municipal primary was expected to decide who will be mayor. No Republicans were running, and the Democratic nominee will be heavily favored over Green Party candidate James Eldon McNeely.

The Primary, In Short
To give a brief summary, Slay has cited the accomplishments of his 12 years in office, including efforts to rebuild neighborhoods and make the city more tolerant. But Reed and Matthews have both attacked the mayor's record. Reed says the crime rate is too high, corporations have left St. Louis and Lambert Airport has declined.
