Jaz'min Franks
NPR Next Generation Radio: 2022 MenteeJaz’min Franks is a freelance visual storyteller. She is heavily inspired by sharing community perspectives and exploring the intersection of history and art. Franks was born and raised in St. Louis and is a graduate of St. Louis Community College. She is also the proud mother of a 9-month-old daughter, Sina Rai, and an orchestra aficionado after playing string instruments for nearly a decade.

Severe storms and flooding damaged LaWanda Felder’s home, particularly the area she used for her child who has autism. Despite challenges, she says she is doing what she can to create an atmosphere of safety and comfort for her two young children.
