St. Louis, MO – The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services is issuing a health advisory in conjunction with the upcoming presidential debate at Washington University in St. Louis.
There has been no evidence of a bio-terrorist threat in the immediate future.
Department spokeswoman Nancy Gonder says health providers should be alert to the possibility of terrorism-associated diseases for one week following the debate.
"What we're saying in the state of Missouri is we certainly would want to be prepared should something occur. We think that's what the public should be thinking about right now, being prepared for any type of emergency."
The presidential debate will take place at Washington University October 8.
