St. Louis, MO. – The commander of the St. Louis Major Case Squad says charges are likely tomorrow in the slayings of a two-month-old boy and three adults in an apartment in Belleville.
Commander Norman Venable says a man who is under arrest remains in custody at a hospital. He says the man is the former boyfriend of one of the victims, but he declined to comment further.
Venable says young Jason Smith was killed along with his mother, 19-year-old Nicole Willyard. Also killed were 19-year-old Mary Cawvey and 23-year-old Brandon Lobell.
Officers found the bodies after neighbors called police Wednesday night to report a burglary.
