St. Louis, MO. – Replacement drivers at Lohr Distributing in St. Louis voted today (Monday) to decertify the union.
About 30 Teamster drivers went out on strike from the beer distributor more than a year ago. The company brought in permanent replacements last fall.
The National Labor Relations Board assistant regional director Don Gardiner says if no objections are raised within seven days the board will certify the election.
"In effect that would mean no union represents the employees at Lohr and the union would have to cease its picketing." Gardiner said.
Gardiner says the vote was 20-1 in favor of decertification from Teamsters Local 600.
He says none of the striking drivers voted.
