Communications SpecialistAs the Communications Specialist for St. Louis Public Radio, Fontella gets to showcase the award-winning local reporting, original programming and community engagement that make STLPR a beloved regional institution. She studied journalism and fine art at Webster University and has worked for institutions across St. Louis as a journalist, copywriter, editor and project manager.
Fontella was formerly Publications Associate at the Saint Louis Art Museum during the Museum’s expansion. As project manager and editorial support staff, she helped the Design Department produce thousands of new didactics for the Grand Opening in 2013. She’s a native St. Louisan who rather redundantly enjoys reading, writing, painting and public media in her leisure.

As of Monday, July 31, Brian Heffernan will resume the top news leadership role at St. Louis Public Radio (STLPR), serving as news director in an interim capacity. The position was previously held by Ashley Lisenby, who is stepping down from the director role for personal reasons.
