Jazz Unlimited for January 6, 2019, will be “Tributes to Nancy Wilson and Richard Henderson plus the Music of Woody Shaw.” Song Stylist Nancy Wilson and St. Louis champion of jazz passed away within two days of each other in December, 2018. We will pay tribute to them in the first hour with Cannonball Adderley, Art Blakey, Miles Davis, John Hicks and Gene Ammons. The second and third hours of Jazz Unlimited will be concerned with the music of trumpeter Woody Shaw. He will be heard with his own quintet, his Concert Jazz Ensemble and big Band along with Woody Herman, Horace Silver, Dexter Gordon, Larry Young, McCoy Tyner and Joe Zawinul.
