St. Louis City SC is the official name of St. Louis’ Major League Soccer team. The crest features the Gateway Arch and wavy lines that signify the confluence of the Missouri and Mississippi rivers. The colors — red and navy blue — were inspired by St. Louis’ flag.

On Friday’s St. Louis on the Air, club CEO Carolyn Kindle Betz joined host Sarah Fenske to talk about why "city" was chosen and to explain what’s next.

St. Louis on the Air” brings you the stories of St. Louis and the people who live, work and create in our region. The show is hosted by Sarah Fenske and produced by Alex Heuer, Emily Woodbury, Evie Hemphill and Lara Hamdan. The audio engineer is Aaron Doerr.
