In her conversation Wednesday with host Sarah Fenske, comedian Nikki Glaser opened up about her renewed love for St. Louis, the surprising things she’s learned through her hit HBO Max show “FBoy Island” and how much she enjoys hosting a podcast from her apartment in the Central West End. But after the live show, there was more to discuss, and Glaser agreed to stick around for a few more minutes of conversation.
In this bonus episode of St. Louis on the Air, Glaser discusses her recent forays into voice lessons and guitar playing, with hopes of becoming a singer-songwriter.
“I want to transition out of comedy eventually,” she said, “because although I think I’ll always do stand-up comedy, I’m really tired of approaching everything with a cynical point of view. The more work I do on myself and the more I want to connect with people, sincerity is just so much more important.”
Glaser also said she’s working on a book right now.
