Bomb Threats

According to Courage2Report, a Missouri statewide school safety initiative, there have already been 125 reported school violence tips between July and September — which is nearly as many as the number of tips reported in all of 2023.

There have been at least 20 threats since St. Louis Public Radio began keeping track about two weeks ago. They are taking a toll on area students, teachers and law enforcement.

Harris-Stowe State University temporarily shut down Tuesday after receiving a bomb threat. The threat came a day after several historically Black colleges and universities nationwide received similar threats.

The threats were allegedly part of the suspect's cyberstalking campaign against a woman with whom he once had a romantic relationship. Juan Thompson once worked as a reporter at The Intercept.
