Central Visual and Performing Arts High School

Parents, teachers, students and elected officials gathered for a candlelight vigil Monday night in Tower Grove Park after a shooting at Central Visual Performing Arts High School earlier in the day left two people dead and seven injured.

Jean Kuczka’s family said she was passionate about helping kids during her 38 years as a teacher. Kuczka was killed in the shooting Monday at Central Visual and Performing Arts High School.

Police said they fatally shot the killer in an exchange of gunfire.
