The James S. McDonnell Foundation (JSMF) has awarded $824,917 to St. Louis Public Radio (STLPR) to fund a new program that will model how St. Louisans can talk across divides in order to create greater understanding in our region.

The James S. McDonnell Foundation gift will primarily fund scholarships for undergraduate students studying civil, mechanical and electrical engineering at the school starting next fall.

The James S. McDonnell Foundation has announced that it is providing $1 million to help fund the City of St. Louis’ Guaranteed Basic Income program through December after the program was halted this summer due to a lawsuit.
