The Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis received a $500,000 grant to help bring more professional development, job training and family assistance to women in the area.

The Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis will use a $750,000 federal grant to help with renovations to its North St. Louis business plaza. The League plans to use the money to enhance retail and community services.

Centene Corp. has donated its 60,000-square-foot Ferguson claims center to the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis. The donation is the largest any Urban League has ever received, and it will soon house child care initiatives, outreach programs and a food pantry.
